The Food Waste Challenge
An exciting, innovative and unique education program, developed by the Nature Conservation Council of NSW in partnership with the Love Food Hate Waste program, which provides you with the skills to reduce your household's food waste- saving your wallet and helping the environment. There are many councils and regions taking the Food Waste Challenge right now. Later this year we will be running a targeted program aimed towards families and very young children.
The Green Renter's Challenge
Think you need to be a property owner to make sustainable changes in your home? Think again. Renters can do many things to substantially increase the efficiency of their living situation and save money in the process!
The Foodprint Challenge
An educational workshop series and community education program, bringing participants tools to reduce theri ecological FOODprint.
100% Ready
A roadshow (funded by the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency) was delivered through regional NSW from January to July 2012, to encourage communities to uptake renewable energy technologies. A vast majority of Australians support a move to 100% clean energy, but a lot also think we’re not ready yet. The project brought real stories from the clean energy frontline to over twelve regional centres, to prove Australia is 100% ready to start making the switch. NCC is currently looking at expanding the program further by working on community energy projects closely with a couple of regional centres. The Climate Challenge
The Climate Challenge is a tried and tested environmental education model, enthusiastically received by each of the twelve communities that it has been delivered in to date. The program delivers positive environmental outcomes and builds community strategies for a low carbon lifestyle.
