We have a unique opportunity to protect our native forests from becoming woodchips and secure a sustainable future for the forests of NSW.
The historic agreement to end native forest logging in Tasmania, between conservationists like you, Australia's largest woodchipper Gunns Ltd and the Tasmanian government, provides a prime opportunity for an end to woodchip logging here in NSW. I need your help to build on this amazing victory.
Each year, Australia’s second largest woodchipper, Nippon Paper, destroys tens of thousands of hectares of NSW’s pristine native forests. A staggering 90% of the native trees logged in the state’s south-east ends up in the chipper!
Can you make a donation of $20 or more today to help end the senseless destruction of our forests here in NSW?
Donate here to save NSWs forests from the forest hungry chipper!
Tasmania has shown the way forward for a new era where high conservation value forests are protected for wildlife habitat, water supply, carbon storage and inspiring natural beauty.
With the NSW State election only months away, we have an opportunity to build on the momentum of the Gunn’s decision and protect our state’s magnificent native forests
Your immediate support will enable the team at the Nature Conservation Council of NSW to implement a coordinated, high impact campaign and present a balanced, persuasive case for protecting our native forests and meeting timber supply needs from sustainably managed plantations.
But, we can’t do it without you.
Please donate $20 or as much as you can comfortably afford to protect our forests for the essential life support services they provide our wildlife and human communities.
Together we can create a lasting legacy of healthy forests across the state.
