Thanks for sharing a positive day of climate action!

There is no ignoring the 45,000 people across Australia who joined together and stood up for a better future on World Environment Day. Thank you for being a part of this positive, nationwide message of support for an effective price on pollution and a clean energy future.

Last Sunday, more than 10,000 people joined the Sydney Climate Rally to send a positive message of support for bold action on climate change.

It was wonderful to meet so many Nature Conservation Council supporters there, to see our pinwheels catching the breeze through the crowd and to share in the community call for climate action.

There is no ignoring the 45,000 people across Australia who joined together and stood up for a better future on World Environment Day. Thank you for being a part of this positive, nationwide message of support for an effective price on pollution and a clean energy future.

If you haven’t had the chance, take a minute to sign the petition for a strong price on pollution and renewable energy investment. We are aiming for 1,000 emails to the Multi Party Climate Change Committee – and we have almost reached out target! Please forward it onto friends, family and colleagues.

This renewable energy petition and community action across Australia is making an impact. Already, Climate Change Minister Greg Combet and Treasurer Wayne Swan have moved from silence on renewable energy investment to announcing the possibility of its bright and growing future.

These are exciting times. Thank you for your role in such a positive World Environment Day with a can-do message for climate action in Australia.

Warm regards,

Pepe Clarke
