How to Enter and Competition Rules |

How to Enter the Our Earth, Our Stories Nature Photography Competition:
- Take some photos showing how important the Central Coast’s
environment, animals and plants are to you (come along to our free
Shutter-Bug and PhotoVoice events for inspiration and advice).
- Submit a maximum 8 x 10 inch (203mm x 254mm) print of your winning shot with a completed entry form.

Mount your print - it’s easy! Mounts to be of cardboard or mount-board
only. Contact one of the following picture framing specialists for information about
mounting or to get your print mounted for very reasonable prices:

Clearly mark your print with your name, title of the work and caption telling your photo’s story (30 word limit).
- Submit a digital image of your photo on disk to be in with a chance of getting on the web gallery.
- Submit your print and completed entry form to one of the following venues:

Gosford City Council – Customer Service Centre, 49 Mann St, Gosford
- Wyong Shire Council – Customer Service Centre, 16 Hely St, Wyong
- Community Environment Network – “The Manor”, Ourimbah Campus (Uni of Newcastle), 10 Chittaway Rd, Ourimbah
(All prints will be retained by the Nature Conservation Council of NSW
until the exhibitions have finished. Prints can then be returned by
mail if a stamped, self-addressed envelope is enclosed with your
entry form.)

Please read the competition rules below carefully for further entry requirements.
Competition Rules:
- The Our Earth, Our Stories: Nature Photography Competition and Exhibition is open to everyone in the Central Coast region.
- The
subject matter of the photographs submitted must be from within the
Central Coast region – defined as Gosford and Wyong Local Government
Areas (LGAs).
- All photographs entered in the competition must be mounted – see above for more information. Mounts to be of cardboard
or mount-board only, no frames/glass will be accepted. Mounts are to be
black and have a minimum 50mm border around thephotograph.
- Photographs can be black and white or colour prints.
- One entry allowed per person.
- Half price print offer with Harvey Norman, Erina lasts for the duration of the competition.
- Entrants in the PhotoVoice category must attend a PhotoVoice workshop.
- A
panel of judges, including Steve Parish, will select the category
winners and runners-up. The judging panel’s decisions are final.
- Entries
must be submitted to one of the venues listed above by Monday 4th June
2007. All entries must be accompanied by the completed entry form and
mounted photograph.
- If possible, please enclose a disk with a digital image of your photo (300 dpi jpeg) at no greater than 1.5MB.
- Late / faxed entries will not be accepted.
- Each entry can only be eligible for one of the award categories.
- Entries
will be exhibited throughout Central Coast from Friday 15th June until
early July and will be returned by mail if a stamped, self-addressed
envelope is enclosed with your entry form. Otherwise, prints will be
donated to local schools or libraries.
- NCC will not cover any transport costs incurred in delivery or return of work.
- Entrants
must organise their own insurance cover against damage, loss by any
means or theft. NCC does not insure works in transit, storage, handling
or on exhibition.
- Entrants retain copyright of their image.
NCC reserves the right to reproduce images by print and electronic
media for not for profit publications, advertising and promotions.
Entrant’s names will be acknowledged if the image is reproduced.
- All
personal information gathered by NCC will be used solely for the
purpose of administering the Our Earth, Our Stories: Nature Photography
Competition and Exhibition.
- We regret that not all submitted photos may be exhibited or displayed in the web gallery.
