|
The Nature Conservation Council works to conserve nature and protect the water we drink, the air we breathe and the places we love.
We are a non-profit, non-government organisation representing 120 community environment groups across NSW.
Our aim is to protect our precious natural environment What we do Campaigning: our work with the community has helped create new national parks and marine parks, assisted households become more water and energy efficient, saving urban bushland, and making NSW more sustainable. Advice: our reputation as a democratic, representative organisation allows us to have input into legislation and government decisions on behalf of our member groups and the environment. Education: our environmental enducation program builds on the skills and capacities of community environment groups. Help us to keep achieving change As the state's peak environmental organisation since 1955, the Nature Conservation Council of NSW works closely with member groups, local communities, government and business to ensure a positive future for our environment. We facilitate large-scale awareness and education campaigns, in addition to producing original research and publications. Your support will enable us to react quickly to new threats; fund essential projects; and provide quality advice to communities, industry and government. Without your help, many native plants and animals, our bushland and forests and our unique marine environment might be lost forever. Your donation will help conserve and promote our state’s unique natural environment for generations to come.
