Powerful, vested interests are working to sabotage any effective climate agreement in Copenhagen. This at a time when an effective agreement to avoid catastrophic climate change is so urgently needed!
It has become clear that the Copenhagen climate negotiations will not deliver the outcomes that you and I are hoping for. But there is still hope. At this historic moment, it now falls to you and I, the people to take action. Together we must make government and industry change their ways once and for all. It is people taking action that will protect our climate and our future.

A recent IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) report estimates that a 25-40% reduction in emissions by 2020 only gives us a 50-50 chance of our climate staying within the 2 degree Celsius threshold that will avoid catastrophic climate change.
These odds are appalling. I don’t know a single person who would rely on these odds, and I certainly do not accept them as the way forward for our future. Governments are playing Russian roulette with civilisation and we must not let them get away with it.
There’s a good chance of limiting climate change if we act now. You and I must dramatically increase the pressure to a level that cannot be ignored. Together the power of the people will create the political will needed to solve this climate crisis, immediately address climate change and make significant cuts to our emissions.
