The 2010 Regional Conference is on this weekend
Gulgong, NSWNature Conservation Council of NSW Regional Conference
Sat 28 - Sun 29 August, Gulgong
Red Hill Environmental Education Centre

Conference Theme: Biodiversity & Mining Impacts

The Regional Conference is a great opportunity for discussing the unique challenges and opportunities for environment groups outside of metropolitan areas, and catching up with friends and fellow campaigners.

This year’s regional conference will explore two of the most important issues for regional Australia – biodiversity and mining impacts. It will also discuss urgent campaign updates, coastal planning, the Murray Darling Basin Plan and prepare a Conference Statement on International Year of Biodiversity.

A full program on Saturday 28 August will be followed on Sunday 29 August with an informative field trip to The Drip Gorge on Goulburn River. There we’ll witness first-hand the effect of an expanding coal industry, before returning in time to make your public transport connections home.

Please note, the dates of the conference have been moved to avoid the federal election.
