The historic agreement between Tasmanian conservationists, Australia's largest woodchipper Gunns Limited and government to end native forest logging provides a prime opportunity for an end to woodchip logging in NSW.
Tasmania has shown the way forward for a new era where high conservation value forests are protected for the essential life support they provide for wildlife and human communities. We can continue the momentum by reaching agreement on protecting our native forests and meeting timber supply needs from sustainably managed plantations in NSW.
